Toxinometer ET-6000 Series

The Toxinometer® ET-6000 is our new computer-operated kinetic incubating tube reader, which is exceptionally user-friendly and easily expandable. Depending on the number of samples to be processed, our state of the art expansion modules can be connected to allow for endotoxin testing in a wide range of fields and sample quantities.

Endotoxin Detection System

  • Toxinometer can incorporate 3 testing methods: Gel-clot, KTA (Kinetic Turbidimetric Assay) and KCA (Kinetic Chromogenic Assay)
  • Toxinometer can provide Gel-clot and KTA results using the same sample.
  • Toxinometer can be used for testing of both Multi type and Single type reagent depending on sample size.
  • Risk of contamination is much lower than when using a microplate.
  • Toxinometer can begin a new assay while another assay is still running; therefore, if a customer has to retest a sample, they can begin their analysis immediately.
  • Toxinometer allows for the archiving of standard curves.

TOXINOMETER® Measurement Principle

The rate of the LAL/endotoxin reaction is dependent on the concentration of endotoxin present in the sample or standard. The greater the amount of endotoxin the faster the LAL/endotoxin mixture reacts; the smaller the amount of endotoxin the slower the LAL/endotoxin mixture reacts. The time needed for the LAL/endotoxin mixture to react is its Reaction Time. The ET-6000 uses the Reaction Time of known endotoxin standards to calculate the endotoxin concentrations in samples based on its measured Reaction Time. For Turbidimetric assays, the ET- 6000 measures the rate of turbidity to calculate Reaction Times. For chromogenic assays, the ET-6000 measures the increase in the color intensity to calculate Reaction Times.

Benefits of KTA Testing

  • Allows trending of product results over time •Allows early detection of potential product failures
  • Generates hard copy printouts documenting assay parameters and sample results
  • Test to completion without intervention
  • Develop automated assay systems with ease
  • Offers improved precision and accuracy over the gel clot method
